Chad Thomas

Chad Thomas is Vice President of Partnerships, Advisory, and Community at BetterUp, where he leads the development and growth of strategic relationships that unlock transformational impact for BetterUp’s customers and their people. With a focus on cross-sector collaboration, Chad brings together Fortune 500 organizations, academic luminaries, and emerging innovators to advance human potential at scale. Chad is known for his ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies—grounded in empathy, fueled by purpose, and aligned with measurable outcomes.

A strategist at heart, Chad has spent over 15 years at the intersection of business, human capital advisory, and leadership development. Prior to this role, he spent 7 years on the go-to-market team at BetterUp building out new market segments. Prior to BetterUp, Chad worked in Investment Banking with J.P. Morgan and transitioned to Management Consulting at Deloitte. His unique background in banking, finance, and growth-stage tech equipped him with the tools to navigate organizational problems with rigor and innovation.

At BetterUp, Chad is passionate about helping organizations invest in their people in ways that are meaningful, sustainable, and future-ready. His work is driven by a deep belief that when individuals flourish, organizations thrive—and societies progress.

He graduated with a BA in Human Developmental Psychology from Boston College and holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, he’s a mentor, community builder, and advocate for inclusive leadership. Chad enjoys writing and speaking on the topics of awe, purpose, well-being, and positive psychology. He lives by the principle “Commit to something beyond the altitude of your personal ambition.”
